This high nitrogen fertilizer is great for the fall because it has extra potassium to help with water intake and nutrient uptake through the Fall. By helping the grass build thicker cell walls before winter sets in, the lawn will green up quicker in the spring and become more resistant to disease and drought. It also keeps the grass from going dormant early in the fall by stiffening the grass blades and keeping the grass standing up.
