This lamb and kid colostrum is intended to replace or supplement maternal colostrum as an aid in the treatment of Failure of Passive Transfer (FPT) in newborn lambs and kids. Receiving a colostrum feeding as soon as possible after birth has been identified as being the single-most important step for newborn lamb and kid survival. This contains natural high levels of colostral fat and lactose because they are the only nutrients that newborn lambs and kids can quickly convert into the energy needed to maintain body temperature.
Directions: Mix 1 bag (235 gm) with warm water 110°-120°F. Feed appropriate amount 3 times in first 18 hours of life. Feed to lamb/kid by bottle, pail or esophageal feeder. Each bag contains 50 gm bovine IgG.
